RV Requirements & Setup

A self-contained RV has its own freshwater tank, gray water tank, and black water tank. This means you can camp without needing full hookups at every site. At Back40 RV Park, you'll have electrical hookups (50, 30, or 20 amp), plus easy access to our dump station (30-100 feet from sites) and water fill station (within 50 feet). Your RV should be able to hold water and waste for your stay duration.

Back40 RV Park is designed specifically for self-contained RVs. We don't have water/sewer hookups at individual sites, tent camping areas, or facilities for non-self-contained setups. This allows us to keep rates low and maintain a quiet, low-impact environment. If your RV has holding tanks and can operate without full hookups, you're welcome! Our dump station and water fill are easily accessible.

Back40 RV Park offers three electrical service options to accommodate any RV: 50 amp, 30 amp, and 20 amp hookups. Most modern RVs use 30 or 50 amp service. If you have a 50 amp RV and the site has 30 amp, you'll need a dogbone adapter (50 to 30 amp). Same for 30 amp RVs at 20 amp sites. Adapters are available at any RV supply store. Let us know your amperage needs when booking.

Rates & Pricing

Our rates are simple and affordable. Nightly rate is $50 per night for any self-contained RV with electrical hookups included (50, 30, or 20 amp). Weekly rate is $300 (save $50 when you stay 7+ nights). Extended stay discounts are available for longer visits. All rates include electrical hookups, dump station access, water fill, and direct trail access. No hidden fees or resort charges.

Back40 RV Park accepts multiple payment methods for your convenience. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). Payment is typically collected upon arrival or can be arranged when booking. For extended stays, we can discuss payment schedules. Contact Mark at 479-721-5630 if you have specific payment questions.

Trails & Activities

Trail access is incredibly convenient at Back40 RV Park. You can access the famous Back 40 Trail System directly from the property - literally ride or hike from your RV site. The Back 40 offers 40+ miles of singletrack mountain biking and hiking trails. You're also within a 15-30 minute drive of Little Sugar Trails (50 miles), Bentonville trail system (137 miles), and the new OZ Trails Bike Park opening Spring 2025.

The Ozarks offer excellent mountain biking nearly year-round. Spring (March-May) features wildflowers and moderate temperatures. Summer (June-August) is warm but trails are well-maintained. Fall (September-November) is peak season with stunning foliage and perfect temps. Even winter (December-February) offers rideable days. Major events include Bikes Blues & BBQ (Oct 1-4, 2025) and various races at Bentonville. Book early for October - it's the most popular month.

Yes! While the Back 40 Trail System has challenging sections, it also offers beginner-friendly routes. The trail system is well-marked with difficulty ratings. Nearby Little Sugar Trails has dedicated beginner loops, and the Bentonville trail system offers 50+ trails across all skill levels. We recommend downloading the Trailforks app to view trail difficulty ratings and current conditions. Many guests use Back40 RV Park as a base to explore trails matching their skill level.

Amenities & Services

Back40 RV Park does not have central restroom or shower facilities. We're designed for self-contained RVs that have their own bathrooms and showers. This self-contained model keeps rates low and maintains a quiet atmosphere. Your RV should have a functional bathroom with holding tanks. Our convenient dump station (30-100 feet from sites) and water fill (within 50 feet) make managing tanks easy throughout your stay.

Cell phone service varies by carrier in the Pineville, Missouri area. Most major carriers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) have coverage, but signal strength can vary. We recommend checking your carrier's coverage map. WiFi is not currently available at Back40 RV Park - we embrace the quiet, unplugged experience. Many guests appreciate disconnecting while enjoying the trails and nature. Download maps and trail apps before arrival.

Park Policies

Yes, well-behaved pets are welcome at Back40 RV Park. We know many trail enthusiasts travel with their dogs. Please keep pets leashed when outside your RV and clean up after them. The Back 40 Trail System is dog-friendly, so your furry friends can join you on hikes. Please be considerate of other guests and wildlife. Always supervise pets around the natural environment.

Yes, Back40 RV Park welcomes guests year-round. The park is open 365 days a year, including holidays. Winter camping can be beautiful in the Ozarks, and many trails remain rideable except during ice or snow. Your RV should be winterized if visiting during cold months (November-February). Electrical hookups are available year-round to power heaters. Spring through fall (March-November) is the most popular season, but winter offers solitude and unique beauty.

Back40 RV Park maintains quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM to ensure all guests can rest and recharge for trail adventures. We ask that noise be kept to a minimum during these hours - including generators, music, and conversations. Many of our guests are early risers heading out for dawn rides. We pride ourselves on being a peaceful, respectful camping community. Thank you for being considerate of your fellow campers.

Campfire policies depend on current weather conditions and local burn bans. When conditions permit, contained campfires are allowed. Please check with Mark upon arrival about current fire restrictions. Never leave fires unattended and always fully extinguish them before bed or leaving your site. During dry seasons or high fire danger, fires may be prohibited. Many guests enjoy the ambiance of LED lanterns or RV awning lights as a fire-free alternative.
